I put my 18650 battery backwards in the charger on accident. Before putting in the charger I measured 3.83 and when i took it out it measured 3.80. Should I look out for anything? I'm using a yoho-122 charger and a black trustfire.

many of the (even cheap) chargers wont charge backwards, and the Protection on the cell itself will also assist in such matters.

also the right charger design, does not allow reverse connection, refered to as mechanical polarity protection, where one of the connetion points does not reach connection to the battery when inserted improperly. this is NOT usually the case with the cheap li-ion chargers though, because of the flat heads (no nipple) batteries that can be charged with them.

The voltage was maintained, as you have checked , this all being good, you checking, and it being good still.

so in short, your good to go, but of course try and avoid that.

The one time I accidentally put an unprotected 18650 in a DSD charger backwards, it became very hot within seconds. If yours survived a full charge cycle, I'll bet either your charger is smart enough to not charge backwards, or your cell's protection circuit kicked in.

based on my earlier accidents reverse charging 14500s...if the protection circuit doesn't kick in, its possible that you won't find a trace of the charging cradle when you check on it:poof:

I would also suggest you try to monitor the charger's voltage if possible even with another healthy cell to make sure that it wouldn't damaged by the reversed cell.
