Hi,
I am getting into this(expensive) hobby, already have around 10 led torches, started with FENIX P1D CE, then Q5 version etc etc etc.
I would like to do some modding, such as the excellent inexpensive SSC P7, by fitting it/some into a 6V incan worklight that I have, which is like a candle in comparison to led.
I think I need LED, regulator, reflector, host body, batteries etc, plus heat sink compound etc, and some basic tools, will be running on multiple AA NIMH.
Would this be about right ?
Any help most appreciated, I realise most of you are from across the pond, I don't think flashlight/torch fever has got here yet!!
Thanks

Hello there and happy to see you want to start DIYing some lights. I think the Custom Lights section would better suite your needs a give you all the answers your looking for. I am sure a mod will have no problem moving your thread there.

I have my own lathe, good stockist of all metals nearby, plus free access to about every manchine shop tool going inc spark eroder, it would be even better if I knew how to use them!!
I am getting better on my home lathe, but my mate who owns all the machine stuffsays I can use any of his, but I daren't, have visions of bits of metal/machine flying about the workshop.
I normally fix work on cars, especially sierra cossies, so this is a bit new.
Thanks for the link, btw.
I'm not quite up to ANORAK status yet but getting there!!
