i recently made around $200 at a construction job, and i want to buy a good EDC. i am trying to decide between an L4 and an ARC 4+ rev2. what would be the better buy? i will be using it for mostly basic tasks.

any advice would be much appreciated

What sort of brightness and runtime are you looking for? The Arc 4+ wont be as bright, but it will have more levels of output so you can choose the level that is best for the task at hand. The L4 will be brighter with a more floodlike beam. For many general tasks I find the Arc to be too small to hold comfortably in the hand and operate. I don't have an L4 but I have an E2e and it is much more comfortable in the hand for momentary use and such.

I have both and I vote for the ARC4+ because of size, pocket clip, variable brightness, longer runtime.

I EDC a ARC4 in a RipOffs holster, but I sometimes use the pocket clip on a ball cap for a quick temporary headlamp.

The ARC4+ is designed for EDC.
