OK, I have big pockets....something that runs on multiple 18650 cells and gives a good flood with reasonable throw and isn't much longer than 6"....no HID's please. When we camp in the bush I like to see all around me......and no, I will not irritate others as we are always alone :)

6" would be a challenge since 18650's are almost 3" already. I'm sort of picturing a plastic 6V lantern wired up with 18650's, but I can't think of anything commercially available.

How about a good propane/butane or multi-fuel lantern? You can get more than 1000 lumens 360 dregrees of natural light from a small multi-fuel hiking lantern. You can't beat that for camping.

that would be perfect size-wise. flood depends on the bulb and reflector, so you do need to research that. but i expect a wolf-eyes 9A or similar would do the trick. just get a bulb to match your requirements output-wise.

M300 compared to a Raider 9A (as Keeper says, looks like the fat kid)

The EO13 blasts it, but the beam is adjustable on the M300, it can be very wide. I just sold one to a lost baggage delivery driver, he wanted to be able to light the whole house up from his van so he could see the number wherever it was on the house. It will do that.

Hi cernobila,

I've been playing with the M300 and if you want a flood - This Baby Will give it to you. Just over an hour AND it is regulated so you don't loose light over the hour. It's spill is always wide but as you focus it, you really give it some distance. This is a True Lumen ( Surface Area ) Light. And, it had a Defender style tailcap so you can stand it on end and in candle mode.

Good work Diceman, nice WE collection.....I have a feeling that the M300 has similar output to the Tigerlight Gold with the ability to go wide. If I didn't have two of the Tigers I would most likely go for this one.....
