About 20 years ago,I was looking for a AA light.I had traveled out west a dozen times or more to hunt Elk,Mule Deer and Antelope. In almost every general store, gas station, drug store and gun shop was a supply of AA batteries, with no 123's to be found.I thought it would be prudent to carry a AA flashlight in case my Surefire or my 123 batts were lost.

When Vital Gear introduced their products,I wasn't motivated to buy until saw this body.I bought the body and set it aside until a few years ago.Since I had bought a Surefire and a Malkoff that used AA's this VG body was never used. Then a few years ago, when I felt the need for a smaller light to use the P90/91 lamps,I remembered this VG purchase.

Here is the lego that I put together with the help of Lumens Factory.I used their E head that holds the P60-P90 lamps on this VG body that uses 2xAA or 3x123 batteries.I have a P91 lamp using 3x123 primaries and it's wonderful.LOL

Here the VG body is compared to a surefire C3 that uses the same P90/91 lamp.

I love those, 3 cell is my favorite size too. I have a one cell extender for e-series, I just had a thought that would be pretty cool for a long running light with 2x16650's, a E-C adapter, C head and P90.

Nice! I used to run a G3 quite a bit years ago with 2x 17500 and really liked the set up. I can't remember exactly why I sold it, must have preferred shorter lights for the pocket. I regret not picking up a few of the VG bodies back in the day, but I'm glad for the MDC bodies Malkoff makes currently, always have loved bezel down clips and tailstanding.
