Anybody have pics of Aleph I,II. III beamshot comparision, or where I can find them???:popcorn:

I was about to ask for the same thing. Specifically, an Aleph 2 compared to a (new) SF KL1. I was conteplating a building a light with VG FB1 body and RCR123A and was wondering which would be a better light.

same here, i got a kl1, and the beam is pinkish.... yuck :(

Love the tight spot an throw, color is white as expected.

The VG FB1 just barely fits r123s... you'll have to shake it to get them out.

On the color issue... this will clearly come down to the luxeon lottery. You could buy three KL1s and get one green-ish one, one violet-ish one and one perfectly white one.

In my opinion, the big deal of the KL1 is it has impressive throw in a small diameter package and limited spillbeam. If you can use/carry a larger diameter head, there are certainly better choices in my opinion, including the Aleph I. They (the Aleph series) also have a very usable spillbeam which I like a lot more than the very limited spillbeam of the KL1.
