My latest build. Had wanted to build this about 3 months ago, but when i went to order the P7, they had sold out!!. So waited until Photonfanatic got more in before i could proceed.
Aleph McClickie Mule EN - P7 - GD1000.

A close up shot of the P7 sitting in a XR-can using MCPCB board.
The P7 is just too big for the MCPCB board, i had to sand down the solder mask and the copper trace down to bare aluminum. You can see its not centred. The reason for this is the holes for the wires in the MCPCB board and such dictated the optimum placement of the P7 to be not centred. The slug of the P7 just fit in between two holes in the MCPCB.
It doesnt look pretty because of the extra arctic alumina that oozed up past the holes. I had potted the GD1000 up to the lip of the can.

Overall, this is just such a big flood light, with no hotspot, its great for walking around and reading at night though since its only 1 level, you destroy your night vision if you used it at night. The more I use it, the more I understand the concept for the Mule.
Credit goes to Koala and Darkzero for helping me with my questions, inspiration from Milky and thanks to McGizmo for coming up with the Mule concept.
