This product is discontinued, and is being replaced by this:

http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?318677-Survival-Tubes-Maglite-2D-to-18650-550-Paracord

This will convert your 2D Maglite into a 2x18650.

This is a low cost solution to convert your Maglite 2D to 18650 in a nice clean package.

No more wrapping batteries in paper, and chopping your maglite spring which we all know is not the easiest. The stock maglite spring has the tendency to ruin your 18650 batteries.

Consider these options for your 2D Maglite:

Convert your 2D maglite to run on 6D bulbs!!
Mag XM-L
Mag SST-50
Mag SST-90
Mag ROP
Mag SSC P7
Mag SSC MC-e
Mag XP-G
Any Mag that could use 18650's!!!

Cost is $15
Shipping is $3 per order in Continental United States. Don't pay shipping twice if you order more than 1.

Typical lead time is a 3-4 days to make and ship. You should receive this within 7-9 days after ordering. If it takes longer, I apologize, I am very busy with work.

Whats Included??
-18650 battery tube with compression foam to eliminate falling out.
-Tailcap conversion with retaining clip and spring.

Battery tube will sit like this:

Tailcap conversion. Simply attach adhesive foam to the botton of the tailcap and attach the retaining ring. (Finished product will have soldered joints)

Insert batteries, screw on tailcap, DONE!

Installation Instructions

1. Remove the stock spring from the tailcap

2. Remove adhesive cover, allow the wire to sit in the removed area of foam. (Helps make a flat surface, so the foam sticks better)

3. Insert the foam into the tailcap and press firmly.

4. Insert retaining ring. Does not require pliers, your fingers will work fine!

That's nice, I like your idea about the adhesive foam.

Re: 2x18650 Kits with Tailcap Mod For Maglite 2D

I use unprotected 18650's (LG's) which with two installed have a shorter length than two protected ones. Will the spring make contact with my 18650's. Can you make a little longer spring setup for me. Thanks,

Bill

I can certainly do that.

Got mine today, very cool setup!
Now I just need a good led upgrade, something I can just buy and pop into my 2D mag :D

Try the Malkoff XP-G set up for 4+C's or D's.
8.4 volts would be perfect.
