Just found these nice little $5.00 metal holders at Walgreens- Looked like 123 sized to me.

OOOH, Looks like it will fit!

Not quite darn it. The screw cap is a little too small.

I'm going to try grinding it out a bit later and see if it will work.

I think the REAL use for those is to hold Nitro-Glycerine pills for folks with bad tickers...i.e. hearts..

Nah, They planned these for 123s, but someone mis-programmed the CNC /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Seriously though, these are much larger than any nitro pill container I've ever seen. They would probably hold 200 of them- (a least the nitro pills I have seen are pretty tiny.)

This thing holds (I just checked) 18 X 325mg coated aspirin tablets.

Yeah, they would have to be insulated at the terminals, just like I do on the brass AAA holders I sell off of the darksbane website.

I did grind out the cap, and a 123 battery fits perfectly now, with a couple of layers of thin foam rubber for insulation.

Unfortunately, there is so little metal under the threads that, while it works, it isn't tough enough for heavy duty use.
