Anodizing on T3

I was taking a look inside the battery tube of my T3, and noticed that the anodizing was not uniformly applied, so that there is a bare patch with visible corrosion already. Does anybody know if lithium batteries give off more corrosive chemicals than alkalines? If this is the case I might get a replacement or have the inside reanodized.

my t1 is missing a patch on the knurled part.. no big deal, but something you wouldn't expect.
