"It" is an 'Expeditions' Double Vision Super Rechargable Halogen Light from Big Lots. $15.99.

Comes with an external AC Charger and an internal DC cord. With whatever power it had out of the box it is doggone bright and throws pretty far.

It is very unique looking too.

When I saw the Halogen main bulb I was sold! The secondary bulb was a 6v "Argon". It was focused LOUSY so I put a 6v Krypton to get a better beam.

I saw the same light at Big Lots this afternoon and was about to describe it here, but you beat me to it! The box makes impressive claims (2,000,000 candlepower) for a light so inexpensive. Let us know your impressions after you've used it more.

Update sorta.

As for bright, it gives about 2/3 of the light of a 75w incandescent in my ceiling fan, when aimed at the ceiling.

The beam isn't real tight at around 12ft. I would play with the bulb some, but I can't get the lense off.

I'm not too disappointed however.
