I have (3) 12v batteries in need of replacing and would probably buy Dewalt li-ion if available. Has anyone ever built a li-ion pack for a 12v Dewalt? I took the pack apart and (6) 17670 fit pretty easily. I was thinking about using 3 sets of (2) 17670 in parallael to increase the amp hours.

Thanks,
Chris

NO DON'T PUT YOUR 17670s IN! Get some IMR or LiFePO4 cells. LiCo cells like your 17670 can't handle the very heavy current draw of drills.

Replaced 9.6V Ni-Cad to LiFePO4 x3 (9.6V 3.5A) perfectly.
It is very handy because lithium hold the charge much better the Ni-Cad.

Buy a aftermarket battery might be cheaper.
12V need LiFePO4 x4. Protected circuit is highly recommended.
