Another Ferro Rod test ...

$6 Dollaroo's to my door ..
Supposedly a self contained fire starting ferro rod kit !

A) The striker kind of sucks , small and a iffy design .
B) I personally don't care for small ferro rods , too fiddly !

Overall , better than nothing ( nothing being two sticks rubbed together )
I much prefer my 8x80mm ferro rods ( little difference in size N weight ) and the larger rod is much ( Mucho ) easier to use .
I punished myself for several months trying to utilize small ferro rods . Once I went 8x80 there was no looking back .
It works , it's fiddly .. And in a real deal survival situation where you may be / Fatigued / Cold / Hungry / Tired / Wet / or injured ........... The very last thing you want is fiddly !
Fiddly is fine in your back yard , U can deal with that ( Go inside , crack a cold one and turn on the TV ) . But out there , where it might count = Leave fiddly at home !

I'm glad I don't live where you do, the bird song in the background would drive me nuts. What was that bird, by the way? You should catch it, and see if it will light with your ferro rods!

Did they actually RACE Pigeons ? Well those modified / souped up Pigeons ........ Are running around untitled .
And with the Gun Laws N stuff we have , there is not much one can do about them except be all nice and WOKE about it !

Now I remember, it's from Exotac. That's the Original.
Not everything is a copy of a copy. Go back enough, you find the original that took a great deal of Research & Development to bring into existence. Along with quite a bit of money that the company needs to recoup. That's why the Originals cost more.

Yes, it's much cheaper to just steal someone else's design; and sell the knock-off for significantly less money to the Public. Since the R&D has already been done. Make the item out of cheap, junk materials = sell it for even less! But still make a nice profit off of it.
