Just saying hi. I am new to " Better Lights ". So far I am enjoying the read, 2 months now. While doing so, I have pulled the trigger on a few lights. I just added to those included in my sig. an Olight M30. This is very very addictive. I for the life of me cant figure out why? What is the allure? Being so new, I am not even sure, brightness? mechanics? electronics? It cant be electronics, my VCR is still flashing 12:00. I truely enjoy reading here and hope one day, I have something to contribute.

Thanks,
John I. lovecpf

:welcome:

btw you misspelled the very last letter in your sig. Just to throw it out there :)

Just curious.............

I understand that your Amish neighbors are prohibited from using electricity in their homes,

do you know if this also applies to flashlights and batteries?
If so, I (and most on this forum?) feel really bad for them.

I wonder if the Amish community has a problem with closet flashaholics. Members who literally use them only while hidden in their closet, so as to not be caught, and have their flashlight addiction exposed.

Of course then again, with no computers, internet, or CPF to tempt them, they may not be aware of all the great lights out there (and I'm sure that their wallets are alot heavier than the members of this forum!)

:welcome:Originally an East Coaster myself, having stomped around Millersville University, Lancaster County, Reading..., got any Shoo-Fly Pie?

Welcome.. I'm from Ephrata. Look under the get together at the bottom of the forum. We have a camping trip to Hickory run State Park, Sept 17th to 20. New folks welcome. Hosted by Kartracer31.

Never touched the stuff!! Probably never will. ( Smile )

I am a transplant myself. I am living here in PA just over 4 years, before that I was in " Da Bronx " New York born and raised.

OH !! They use batteries !!! Big-Time!! Cell phones too when nobody is looking. Thier buggies are equipped with full LED's flashing reds and yellows ( amber ) the younger kids have some pretty Rad buggies using diamond plate metal like a pick-up bed. Full array of LED lighting. How do they shop for it? Hell I dont know?? On thier Blackberries? Can they use a Blackberry if it's home grown? Apple computer? If it's homegrown? Does anybody have the new I-corn phone or the 3G wifi LapPotato? Ha didnt think so!!! Have a Great Weekend!!
