Another Small Luxeon Flashlight

Hi Dudes,

Thank you for introducing yourselves. I sure would like to see a clean, simple and reasonably priced small light produced. I am totally NOT a fan of that other light that a lot of people here pay homage to and rediculously high prices for. I think I was maybe a little overwhelmed by your businesslike approach to the task at hand. I wish you the best of luck and look forward to seeing a prototype in the near future.

Hikerdudes, what a way to introduce yourselves! You KNOW you'll get a warm welcome if you promise us that kind of toy! Awesome!

Regarding the grooves, I definitely like the straight lines better; if it's a clickie I don't see the grippiness being an issue. But around here, you'll find HAIII and knurling are pretty much de rigeur.

Question: do you plan to turn down the optics the way Larry did or not? I think the full size Lumileds optics would really bloat this design to a place where it may no longer be a keychain light.

Also: for a truly unique product, in a category all by itself, how about CR2 instead of 123? Think about it as an alternative to Arc AAA rather than an alternative to Arc LS. But a small 123 light would also be warmly received.

[Now things get interesting...]

I remember seeing this thread when i first joined... oh what a long time ago!

No more news from the Hikerdudes? This was just a pie in the sky wasn't it? I don't even know if CR123A's are thin enough for that "light"!
