DX reviews are not necessarily written by qualified CPFers. I mean, read ANY random reviews on DX and they all pretty much say, "Wow, this is a super bright light!". Most people have never even seen a bright power LED light before, therefore this opinion is pretty worthless.
This is probably what the OP meant. I am sure he was smart enough to scroll 1 page down and see the existing DX-reviews. In fairness to Hyper, this IS one of the few DX lights to have a friggin VIDEO showing its output which is about as good of a review as you can get.
One thing that might not be as obvious is the Forum which is specific on DX to that particular item. This is where you can learn some specifics, including beamshots and reviews in some cases. You can learn the true specs and input voltages, etc.
I was interested in this light, but decided it was a bit too big for me. I wanted spill, and have no need for massive throw. I went with a 1x/2x 18650 (with extender tube) so I could make it pocket size.
