Any customized TK40s?

Is there any reason to modify a TK40? I mean...it's absolutely perfect as-is...at least I always thought so. :D

What am I thinking, this is CPF where *every* light can be improved! :D

Darn it...now you're going to get me going. I'm going to see all the beautifully modified TK40s out there on CPF and there goes my budget on my TK40 that I SWORE that I'd NEVER EVER modify because it was 100% perfect in stock condition.

Here we go again! :D

A SST-50 or 90 would be nice, but you'd need a few more drivers and a reflector for a single die.
Putting in a SSC P7 would simply decrease the runtime by a third or so, not even doubling the lumen output.

I'd keep the light the same, it's amazingly small and has amazing output for the runtime.

I believe the SST-50's are more efficient @ the same drive current that most MC-E's are driven to.

One advantage of the SST-50 is that it can be driven to 5amps and put out 1300-1400 lumens if you are using the highest Flux bin currently available.
