I hope it's appropriate to post this here. If it isn't, then I apologize to Peter in advance! After moving a few weeks ago my shop is finally starting to come together and I thought I'd see if there was any interest in Concealex sheaths for the Arc AAA light (would also work with the Peak AAA prototype, of course) that could go on a keychain. I have changed the way I do my Concealex sheaths and I want to try some new things out. I have no idea what they'll look like, what the price will be, or anything else, so I just wanted to put a feeler out and if there is interest I'd come up with a design and post some pics and prices. Again, if this is an inappropriate place for this post I sincerely apologize and it'll never happen again! I can't imagine they'd be too terribly priced, especially since I'll be more efficient with a new press I've made. Anyway, if this is something you'd like, let me know. And, Peter, if you want one let me know and I'll send one to you for free as a thank you for making such a cool product! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Me too, but a lot of people do mention that it tears up their pockets, other keychain accessories, etc, so you never know! I could probably adapt the sheath for belt carry, but the clip and sheath would be 3x the size of the light! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've been making a belt sheath for the FF2 and its barely larger than the light. Sheaths don't need to add much overall bulk, but most of them do. I will say that my sheaths aren't suitable for production, only for hobby. So far I'm using fiberglass, becase that's my medium--that's what I'm good at. But it is labor intensive. Next I'll try Kydex, or a kydex/fiberglass combo, always with the goal of compactness. Otherwise what's the point of small light size?

Small and friendly hint from a competitor:
Just make one or two sheaths, take some pics and show them. You should have an estimated price for them too.
Anyway, the interest in aaa-sheaths doesn't seem to be very big. I started with aaa-sheaths a few weeks ago and have now mainly settled on slightly bigger lights.
Anyway, good luck from me, and show us some pics.

Thanks. If I come up with something I'll post it. The reason I "feel around" before making anything is that the sale is not what I'm after. This is a hobby for me. I probably would never use one of my own sheaths for this light, actually, but I do have an X5 I will make one for. My press is working nicely. Made this sheath on it just a while ago:

Is that by any chance my knife? Or will mine be similiar?

Anyway, that one looks REALLY nice! (from what I can see of it)

Re: Any interest in AAA keychain Concealex sheaths

Yes, in fact it is yours! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif It went out in Monday's post, so we'll see how the USA mail compares with UK! Glen traded his AAA, seen above, for the knife seen above, and when he sent the AAA I think it took something like 3 days for it to go from England to Michigan. I somehow don't think the "keychain" is going to get to UK quite as fast, but you never know. Let me know when you get it, Glen!
