Ok... I M Back, Can any one tell me, if any 7 LED Production / Mods available...

I Know Luxeon's are great, Any one with 3 Watter Mod (that will run for sufficiently long time) & below $ 25 (if i have to, i could just get another Nuwai Q III for some additonal money... ) but I am looking seriously to modify with either 7 LED's Nichia's or the Chi-Wing's 15,000 mcd LED's (Chi-Wings 15,000 MCD LED's have a GOOD Throw, they are Snow Mode LED's)....

Thanks in Advance,
ViReN

Here's a new 5 LED module being offered. It hasn't been fully reviewed yet by a lot of people. Maybe you'll be the one?

BTW, there are 4 of the same pics in your post.

Hello Green LED, Thanks for your comments. I was looking for something different. about 7 LED's not 5 .... It sure will have a great more output.

Just have a look at images again /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: Any one? MiniM@G 7 LED Replacement

I have been working on an 8 led Modded MiniMag Lately but I have not been able to do testing of any kind on it yet, therefore I do not currently offer that option on my site. I will however step up the effort since I now know someone out there is interested in more of a kick from there torch and is throwing caution to the wind to battery life. I am joking of course even an 8 led mod will still have a far longer usable burn time than a stock bulb. Check back with my site in a few days. Or if you really want to give your maglight output a kick in the assets and cant wait, maybe one of the Luxeon mods available would suit your needs? They can produce up to 10x the output of one high output led. Take a look at the mad max or the ill pill. Don't know how the batteries would fair though, I think the mad max is only good for up to two hours.. Think about what you are really trying to get out of your torch, Reliability/ durability, output/ performance, or battery life, then shop around. My mod was an attempt at a compromise between all three but is not for everyone. Happy Hunting

Re: Any one? MiniM@G 7 LED Replacement

NERDINK, Hello & Welcome to CPF /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I had been thinking of this since quite a while. I have seen up to 4 LED's being used in Production Replacement. I had been looking for someone who can do this kind of stuff. You are one of my very able hopes.

I need to keep the cost down below $20. I have just been through your site.

Here is what i have to suggest.
1) MiniM@G Mod with 7 LED's (i wonder how 8 would be placed ?)
2) Preferably Nichia's LED or alternately, there are some "Long" Throwing (15,000 MCD) LED's, I just procured them from Chi-Wing. I could imagine 7 driven at 20 mA will surely out do most of the 5mm LED Mods for.

Please think about this.....

I must hurry now.. have to rush to catch the flight... going outstation for a couple of days....

Thanks & Regards,
ViReN

Re: Any one? MiniM@G 7 LED Replacement

Hey markdi,

i think atleast 12 - 14 3 mm LEDs can be there. However, the LED's themselves dont have a very good throw as compared with some 5 mm LED's

I Finaly managed to make the MOD with 6 LED's... have a look

Thanks & Regards,

Re: Any one? MiniM@G 7 LED Replacement

looks loke a nice mod
what is the max amount of led's that will fit inside a mag aa head ?

Re: Any one? MiniM@G 7 LED Replacement

Hello markdi,

if you are saying about 5 mm LED's than it would be a Max of 7 and about 12 - 14 for 3 mm LED's
