Anyone here done any mods to this brand of torch light. The old dolphins are quite a popular torch and not bad for a reasonable priced torch.

Ah the dolphin. That's my first torch that I bought with my own pocket money when I was 10. I still own it today. Back then I took it apart and found out the bulb voltage was 4.8v. Somehow I had the idea that changing to a lower voltage bulb will make it run brighter so I went to the local store and bought a 3.6v bulb. Sure enough it was brighter and I bought a 1.2v bulb thinking it will be super bright. Needless to say it instaflashed. I guess you can call it a mod. Sorry for being a little OT. Honestly almost everything inside the dolphin is plastic so I don't think you can do much to it. It'll be nice if you can as the reflector is pretty big. I can imagine the throw of it!
