I just had two Mags grooved (Thanks, Jesus!) and am wondering if it's possible to put similar depth engraving as words on a Mag barrel? It would be short, with my daughter's name on one side and 'Love, Dad' on the other side, all in a not-too-big-but-still-clear font. I'd want it on a silver Mag and hope later to get in on a custom finishing opportunity which would go over the whole body, thus the need for some really serious depth on the words?

I don't think a lathe is the answer, nor is laser engraving through existing anodizing as that will be replaced later, but maybe someone has some ideas.

This would probably have to be done on a CNC mill with more than the typical 3 axis, the 4th axis allows the part to be rotated on the table.

It might be significantly easier to engrave on the flat end of the tail cap if its a C or D cell Mag.
