Anyone ever mod a Streamlight 2L?

I want to replace my 3 Watt Luxeon with something a little brighter and much better runtimes. Any ideas?

How about much brighter, with the same runtime? Seoul P4 is what you want.

To get better runtimes, you would need to modify the driver circuit to deliver less current to the LED.

replace it with a Fenix P3D if You want to keep the 2 CR123s,
or with a L2D

Thats close, but not it. This is the one I have.

I have modded 2 of mine with the Edison Opto I bought from [email protected].
There is a very slight yellowish corona, but the light is alot brighter, and battery life is better. You can email him at that address to see if he still sells them on stars.
