High quality flashlights in the Minneapolis metro area?

Lights I like (from reading the forums):
JetBeam III-M
JetBeam RRT-1 & 2
JetBeam M1X
Eagletac T20C2

Thanks and much appreciated, :sssh: don't tell the wife!

Hello fellow Minnesotan! Welcome to CPF!

I have yet to find a place that carries any of those brands, but you can find some Fenix lights at REI, though they might have to order them in. You will find Surefire lights at several outdoors stores. Streamlight can be found many places.

If you ever are looking for local custom work, Moddoo is in Forest Lake, and I'm out by Hutchinson.

I'll be following this thread. It should be interesting to see if anyone can find a local dealer. Perhaps it's something I should think about doing myself

Thanks! I have seen the Surefire and Streamlights at Cabela's in Rogers, but not exactly what I am looking for. I may run over to REI to see what they have too. I tend to want to "feel" the light (or what ever I am buying) of any significant $ amount.

Funny, being on this forum is addicting. I went form wanting a $50 high lumen light to checking out $200+ lights in just two days.

Just be glad you don't have a Ti and/or custom light fetish yet, like many of us (including myself) do. Then you start getting into the $500-$2000 range. You may even decide that you want to start making your own lights. If you want a decent beater, check out the bargain cave at Cabela's, I saw some of their 9V and 12V lights in there a couple weeks ago.

Yeah, I just went cheap lastnight and dropped $30 on the 2 pack of Element lights @ Sam's :ohgeez:. 150 Lumens. Will get me thru the weekend of deer hunting. I am going to see if they are upgradeable (more reading) with some dropins. It is ok for now, but a downer from what I have been looking at online.

Check out Dealextreme for some decent lights at a low price. Read the reviews though so you know what you are getting in terms of quality.

Shiningbeam is also good. They are faster at shipping stuff since they are in the US. They also have great customer service from what I read and their lights are also good. 6% off coupon is "CPFuser"

Most of the lights discussed here are very hard, if not impossible to find in a local store. Your best bet of seeing one without buying the light is probably to find a friendly cpfer around your area.
