I was looking for something in the dark last night ;) and happened to grab my Arc LSF-P which was probably my first high end (in my eyes anyway) flashlight. Man...that light still has such a nice feel to it. I guess it's due to the thickness of the aluminum body, which seems more substantial than anything these other companies use nowadays. My Quark AA has the feel of a piece of Walmart chinese made crap in comparison. Plus, it still more than adequately lit up the area I was searching.....nice white beam (I think I won the tint lottery back then), and terrific throw due to the fraen optics. While it's not as bright as some of my newer lights (Quarks, Nitecore, Fenix, etc..) there's still something special about it and definately deserves a spot somewhere in my house where it will get used...gingerly :) This light was pretty expensive for me when I bought it (I think it was $160.00 brand new back in '03), so I always kind of babied it...and so it's still in pretty much brand new condition and I want to keep it that way.
Anyway, I just wanted to give a thumbs up  to the ARC company and the original ARC LS, for making a light that has stood the test of time (7 or 8 years and counting) which is lifetime in the high tech electronics world.
