Anyone try one of these CREE headlamps?

Found them on E-bay. 5 watt CREE. Are they for real? Are they junk? Has anyone bought one to see what they were like?

speedsix, be real, 5W from 3xAAA ?? It's almost imposible to get such current from AAA top values are about 700mA draw so 3W For 3W it will stand for 1,5 hour.

Kai 130 lumen. Note the lack of proper heatsinking results in loss of output until stabilizing at the 80 lumen mark.

Romisen RC-W4.

As headlamps have to be as light as possible, I suspect performance to be close to the Kai due to lack of heatsinking.

Note also the optic will give you a single blob of light (not hotspot & spill) though you can zoom the size of the blob.
