I'm looking to get the Lummi Wee, and I know I don't want to wear it around my neck. So I'm wondering how people carry it, and whether you attach it to your keychain. I hate to see an $80 flashlight get all scratched up with my keys like my L0d.

I have had mine for several months now, and I too cannot bring myself to put it on my keychain. I don't wear things around my neck either. I have simply rearranged my pocket carry so that it is the only thing in my front left pocket. I am still trying to figure out a better way of carrying it but for now it works.

I may end up just sucking it up and leave it on my keys. I hate to see get scratched and dulled.

it does scratch a bit. I have mine on my keys, but its probably coming off now I have an EO1 on there. Its too nice to use the way I have.

The reason I bought the Wee was EXACTLY for keychain duty. Pocket carry is where small size is paramount to me and why a very small, nice light is worth some extra money. Even a AAA sized-light in your pocket can be a pain in the leg when you try to sit down sometimes. As such, the Wee is a great keyhcain light. Mine (NS) has very few scratches after 4-6 months of keychain duty. If I was going to carry a light around my neck, I don't see that the extra length of a AAA light is nearly as big of a drawback. As such, for neck lanyard carry I'd probably get a AAA light with multiple modes, more ouput, longer runtime, and a higher capacity and readily available battery instead if paying a premium for the tiny Wee.

Flashlights are meant to be used. If they collect scratches, it just means they are fulfilling their purpose. I don't see what's so bad in that.
Actually I kind of like the used look... it means I've liked something so much I've carried it for so long that it's gotten all scratched up. :)

If I were to buy a Wee I'd carry it on the keychain for sure.

I guess you could attach it to a small carribeaner(sp?) and hook it onto a belt buckle.

I have my Wee Ti 80 on my keyring and there are a few very, very shallow scratches in the finish. Apparently, they will polish out anyway, but I like the character marks to be fair.
If you really want to handle your light with kid-gloves, do what Rob Cheetham does, and wear it on a chain around your neck. However, if you are allergic to nickel, and you do this, you will end up with a red, nasty blotchy spot on your skin where it has been dangling. This is not a problem in the hypoallergenic 'Ti however.

I will be carrying my orb raw al on my keychain. I use a flashlight alot in my job, and will recharge it nightly. it was alot of dough, but i've already ran through 2 fenix p1d's ( 130 bucks) in a year and broke both keychain holes. the wee looks like it has a sturdy ring, so i'd say keychain it and use it baby !

You guys have officially convinced me. Wee's going to be carried on my key rings! :twothumbs

So easy to break?

Then a good idea is to use string to loop through the hold, so if really breaks the string, then use another..

Learn to love wabe-sabe - the Japanese notion that wear and scratches represent an object doing what it is designed to do, and are part of its beauty.

would like to see the custom holster for your wee if possible...that's the way I would carry it.
