Anything new from 4sevens?

I've been wanting a Quark, but it seems like a lot of their stuff is a bit behind their competitors technology-wise. I assume they will be updating their line soon? Anyone got any news on that?

I have not seen anything new, but they did just recently update most (or maybe all) of their XP-G lights to the XP-G2.

I don't think 4Sevens or FOURSEVENS is chasing the CPF market anymore. Good basic designs with upgraded emitters as they arrive. I think they got burned on their limited releases and complaints of tints. I bought a large variety during their "rebranding" clearance last year. Great lights for $40-50. not worth the $60-70 normal price, but I appreciate the good reports of their customer service.

I love switching battery tubes to make a light that I want along with Li-Ion support. Over the years I have collected warm/neutral/cool tins and I have a choice of XP-E/XP-G/XM-L in regular/tactical interfaces. I like the fact that I know what level I will get when I turn it on.. other designs with a side switch do not give that. nobody else provides the LEGO-ability of the quark family. I miss the 18650 support (missed out on the battery tube) and have tint issues with some lights. Love running my Quark Turbo with a single 14500 Li-ion, or a single AA NiMh, or can put back the 2xAA tube and run two Eneloops, or run a single cr123a, or use my 2x123 tube with a 17650.

I was done before I got started. I think I do have a SS Mini 123 and one other that is not too bad, and I sold another I had bought. Since they are basically now tied to Olight, it's hard to see how they will differentiate the 4Sevens line, Olight has already dropped the iTP lights as a second brand it looks like. The Fenix still soars, but the quarks have not been able to hold a charge and they just drop out of orbit after a very short time.

I got a green Quark Turbo X and a green Olight i1.
I won't be buying either of those brands until I hear otherwise.
Their current lineup was designed years ago.

I really like what Eagletac and Nitecore are doing right now.

My first "real" flashlight was Quark Mini 123. I like its beam profile and haven't found the same profile on other brand.
I hope Foursevens has something new at this year.

Nope.

Don't think so too. I have a couple of problematic lights waiting to be sent back for repairs. One neutral white AA2X failed to work despite me having cleaned out all contact points and tightening the tailcap retaining ring. Another neutral white AA2X is always flickering on its max output despite running it with fresh Energizer L91 Lithium.

On the other hand, I just purchased a QTA (single AA tactical) with XP-G2 a couple of months back and it has a very nice cool white tint. Not green at all. Light is still running reliably now with no issues.

Same here... a dozen in 2012. Greenest recent purchase has been a SC52.

My Fenix LD10 has more heft in the hand than a single AA based Quark, but it does not run properly with lithium cells. I stuck a 14505 (CR123 in a AA format) in it and lost the low mode.

Both my Turbos are bluish (Got them during clearance sale for $40 something).. of course my greenest light is a SS LD01. Fenix never made a warm tinted light. My Fenix E35 has a tighter hotspot than my two Turbos, but no forward clicky, but it easily supports 18650s, but I am never sure what mode it is going to come on when I turn it on.

I hate 4Sevens neck length lanyards provided with the hand held lights. PROVIDE A WRIST STRAP WITH NON "AAA" LIGHTS!!! :sigh:

I guess it is a case of individual preference here. I love neck lanyards and absolutely dislike wrist lanyards. I usually dump the wrist lanyards back into the box.

Prefer the neck lanyard. Can use my minis and preons as a headlamp with it. Works pretty good, and wont fall off my head.

Haha! I can so relate to some of you here! I have a S2 "Limited Edition" with a horrible almost yellowish tint... And my Turbo X does appear to be a bit greenish. However I have a few R5's which are cool white, so that's a relief. Its not all bad.

It's so sad that FourSevens has stopped being the innovators in the next-generation flashlight development. Looks like they have settled in and rely on their existing products and just update the LED when new ones come out. Kinda sad, but when you think about it, they do have a solid lineup, and the good thing about their lights, is that it is interchangeable, so you can put together the lights which you would require (except for the 18650 of course in the Quark line of lights)

They're turning out to be the lego-able "Maglite" brand.

But honestly, they'd be hard pressed to compete with the likes of Nitecore who churn out lights every few weeks. They have so many new lights, I have started to lose track of the new ones. (But didnt stop me from getting an EA4 and an EC25! haha)

Did they even have a booth at the recent SHOT 2013?

On youtube there is recent booth video review of their CES 2013 booth Las Vegas Nevada USA. I cant see any new products.
Maybe they got something new for Shot Show 2013?
