I was trying to remember if removing the battery would reset the switch lock. So I turned on the lock, then untwisted the battery enough to disconnect it. I tightened it right back up and pressed the button while the light was "booting up," probably about the moment the Ready for Service sequence would have started. The light turned on and I discovered I couldn't turn it off. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
Never mind... I figured it out. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ohgeez.gif It appears the light saw the switch pressed during startup and decided the switch was broken and started up in "broken switch" mode. I remember Peter telling us the likely failure mode for the switch is closed and if the light detects this it can still be turned on and off by twisting the battery.
