Hi all,

Just received my first "real" LED light - an Arc AAA LE that found it's way to me via eBay. It's a very handy light with decent output given it's size and nature.

But, it's more blue than I was expecting and I'm wondering if maybe the seller didn't just put a standard model's head unit on an LE body.... Is there anything on the head itself that signifies it's the limited edition LED?

Jon

If it is an LE it will be greenish and say Le on the body.

Here is the definative ARC-AAA Lineup as posted down in the Arc section:

They are from the top:
Brass AAA (the true limited Edition-with a rumored production run of only 8)
CPF Members Only Arc-AAA
Standard Arc-AAA
Arc AAA-LE

LE's are the only Arc AAA's made with the "natural" (olive drab) HA-III. All others are black.
There is (unless it has changed) nothing written on the head however... It only sais "LIMITED EDITION" on the tail.

Well, this thing came from Gadgetometery or something like that in Hawaii. He was selling 10 for $34 or so a piece on eBay. Yeah, I know it's high but I didn't realize some of the online stores were about to get more (and you guys rave about them so much).

The body matches the LE posted immediately above but the head is a much darker shade bordering black and is very uniform in color. There is a definite blue to the light (especially the
'hotspot'...

Should I be seeing any blue at all?
