Arc LS efficiency

I was browsing the sandwich shoppe today and I saw that there were efficiency figures for all the modules. Does anybody know what the efficiency of the LS regulation circuitry is?

If an arc was modded to a higher current, would that have any effect on the efficiency?

The ARC LS rev2 efficiency should be very similar to the Badboy as its a very similar design done by the very same designer using the very same IC.

As for the efficiency at higher currents - as a rule of thumb the efficiency get worse with higher currents - the LEDs gets less efficient too - also the cell supplying the power will be less efficient at higher current draws.

I believe wayne designed the first rev. Dunno on the second.

Actually Wayne designed the 2nd rev, not the first.

The rev1 was kind of a doubled up ARC AAA circuit I think - the rev2 positively is Wayne´s design - in the "old days" Peter was soliciting for volunteers to help him design a better circuit than his original one and Wayne helped out. You can dig in the CPF archives - all should still be there if things didn´t got edited afterwards as some other posts lately
