Can you put one of those 17mm ims reflector work in the arc ls i want to go with reflector if its better whats yalls opinion on this? also want to put a ucl in it. I have a arc LSHF-P #013<<<<believe it or not don't know how i got that number ordered one for toolshop.de and they had one left and that was the number got an early number . Weird HUh? so tell me what yall think and also where i can get a tool to remove the retaining ring. Thanks in advanced.

Yes. It needs to be trimmed by taking off some of the excess. It makes for a much nicer light.
geforce, an LSHf-P is a relatively rare Arc and very much desired.
I would not disturb the light and ruin your warranty. If you are wanting to mod an ARC LS.

Darnit didn't realize you said void the warranty. I did it and it looks good real good i love the reflector sent pm's about yours cy and hallis not on my life would i part with a lshf-p #013 <<< mY lucky number. Can peter find out if this a second #013 i doubt it would be just don't see how i got such a low number it does have lines down the anodizing 3 spaced apart envenly. all the way down. Love this little light can't wait to mod yours cy. Stamps ready lol.

I just ordered a prem from toolshop. I'm not convinced that they have them in stock, so I hope they do, but if not, I hope they will refund my money properly. I'm really sad, even if I can get one.
To get this back on topic whats yalls opinion optic or reflector>>????? and if anyone has a site on how to mod an arc ls with a 3 watt luxeon and what board to use and how to wire it up please post i need some help on this want to make a 3 watt in an arc ls Or do i use the stock board. It's quite easy to swap out the led once you open up the light. The hardest part is opening the light. The loctite holding the retaining ring is a PITA to loosen. I've been trying for months with mine and haven't succeeded yet. If you've found an easy way to loosen the retaining ring please let us know. The only advice I've heard that works is brute force but it seems I'm not strong enough to force it. The light is too small to hold on to for any leverage.
