I was testing out the level 1 runtime last night. I held the light in my hand for an hour and then went to shut it off and it would not turn off with one click. I had to double click it to get it to turn off. After that the light functioned like normal.

Anyone else have this happen to them?

BTW - I don't want to anyone to mistake my post as a reason to bash the 4+. I happen to love this light. In fact I like just the way it is with no knurling on the head and no chunky tailcap protector. I also don't mind going through the menu to lockout the tailcap.

JKnight, I appreaciate your post. I am not sure why anyone would think I do not want to hear feedback on my new light!

The sequence you describe is novel. I have not heard anyone else have this happen to them. It may have been a burp in the mechanicals or the software. I would need more information from numerous occurances before I could begin to nail down what caused it. Let me know if you or anyone else has it happen to them.

I have had two strange similiar occurances, and at first thought I was doing something wrong. I could not repeat the anomoly. I was holding the light in my mouth while at the copy machine late at night (no I did not drewl on it). I think it was on the 2nd setting, about 5 or 6? It was still on in my hand when I went back to my desk and I could not turn it off at all. I finally unscrewed the battery for just a couple seconds, and screwed it back in and it seemed to work fine. A few minutes later walking to my car, I used it in press and hold momentary mode for about 20 seconds and again it did not want to turn off. This time playing with the button for a few seconds got it to turn off. I have had no similiar issues since.
Overall I think it is a great light. Anxiously awaiting the new tail cap. ARC 4+ 2nd SN 0839
After writing this, I makes me think, maybe I should test it in high humidity?
