Arc4 starts flashing?

I'm still on the first battery.
Yesterday I noticed that my Arc4 flashed 1 or 2 times when I changed to first level. After this short flashing it worked just like always on level 1.
Then after a while it changed to level 2 (I think).
I assume it is because the battery is almost dry?
Is that the normal way when batteries go empty? Also that the light starts to do this flashing?

Yes, the Arc4 will kinda flash, then kick down to the next level it can maintain on that batteries power.

Then, even if you try to go back to that max brightness, it will flash down to the level it can maintain.

The flashing is ussually more of a flicker, than a flash. Just a slight, fast flicker or two.

I have noticed mine stay on a level, but flicker just alittle every so often, I am not sure what that is from.

I recall when i purchased my arc LSH-P the instruction book stated that it would flicker to let you know that your battery is low and only has a little juice left and it would drop to a lower level.
