Are all Lithium 123\'s created equal?

I just picked up an X5T. A local retailer sells "Konnoc" 123's at a good price, about half of the big brand names. Has anyone done runtime tests on various 123's?

Is the price of this "Konnoc" half of surefire's battery at $1.25? I would say that every lithium is not created equal. Some of them has higher capacity around 50 mAH more or less that other. Some will works best for high discharge current.

I believe that people on this forum have found that best output for the longest time generally goes SureFire, Duracell ultra M3, Sanyo and then Panasonic. I myself use Panasonic just because I can get them cheaper here...though if I was in the U.S I would certainly get SureFire (especially with their new prices!).

There are also different chemistries. The BR123 cells (sometimes included with lights like the Innova X5 are designed for lower currents only.) CR123 is the generic disignation you want although Duracell calls theirs DL and others may use similarly confusing 2 letter prefixes.

I'm located in Canada. The Konnoc battery is $5 Cdn. that's equivalent to about $3.25 USD. I've considered getting some of the Surefires but after paying exchange and shipping it would work out about the same. My X5 shipped with Sanyo
CR123A batteries....and it's bright as heck. The head gets quite warm after being on for 5 minutes is this normal for an X5?
