Hi, i would like to create a base for the led to sit higher and perfectly(one xpg@10mm round pcb @ 1,5amp) with 3-4 magnets(10mm diameter 1mm width, with thermal paste between them). So, are these a good heat conductor?Or should i search for another solution.
Also, the circuit is close enough, is there any case that magnetic field to cause any damage to the circuit/ or malfunction?

Thanks!!!lovecpf

Magnets will lose their magnetisation if they get hot.

They are poduced by heating the material up and applying them to a strong magnet field until they are cooled down.

it depends on what material they are made of. ceramic will conduct heat at different rate than neodymium, or alnico.

but your idea of using magnets as heat sink, is bad, the shorter the thermal path the better, you increasing thermal resistance by a lot,
forget that idea, if you really need to lift led use copper disc, and arctic aluminia thermal epoxy,
make sure surface of heat sink, and your spacer are flat and even, use thin layer of thermal glue, and press hard, ideal heat connection would be metal to metal, heat glue, even thou conducts heat, nothing more than necessary evil. use as little as possible.
