AtoD Memoryfoam batteries

That would for sure eliminate battery rattle, and if you had a flashlight that required enough of them, would make a fine pillow in a pinch..

nice idea, but there is no way to have a full sized AA in there AND the foam, AND wedge it into an AA slot.
(mabey that is why it says A to D and not AA to D)

so mabey the idea is best for C-D as that transition would be more possible, and Cs still have some power in them.
oops again, make that SUB-Cs so it will still fit in the C with the foam.

It's not a an adapter, but a self-contained system with a rechargeable cell of sub-AA size at the core. That won't make for a very long-lasting D cell.

Memory foam? Is this a Nicad battery? :shakehead
It is a Nickel Hydroxide battery encased in a memory foam cylinder so one can squeeze it into different sized slots. I wonder if it would be safe to MacGyver a similar setup.

I think it may be more practical to use C and D sleeves with AA NiMh and there are a few lights out there that can use two or more battery sizes.

Most of the stuff that I've seen from Yanko shows an interesting thought process but a lack of practical and scientific experience. I've stopped looking at Yanko's stuff 'cause I'm tired of being amazed and then immediately disappointed.
