Help Support Candle Power:

interesting.

i cannot find "W32.Bagle" on my or Norton's definitions list. they seem to cross reference W32.Beagle.

are they similar?

It is a variant as far as I know. The fact that this one doesn't use attachments is why I thought it important enough to post here.

Might want to update your definitions and hope it hasn't disabled your Norton. It also goes after AVG, which I use. Fortunately, I use Linux for my internet, including email. My windows is 98SE and is listed as vulnerable to this one.

yeah, im a bit pissed right now.

i made sure my IE was updated, and went to NAV to e-mail them the above question about Beagle vs Bagel.

the site told me my 2002 NAV is no longer supported, and that i have to upgrade to the 2003 or later!!!!! i could not even send an e-mail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wellll, needless to say, i found a way around that, so we shall see what their reply is.

i have kept up my norton's faithfully, so i think it should essentially be the same as the '03 or later model--im really annoyed.

thnaks for the info,
Bob
