Help Support Candle Power:

Welcome to CPF, rickypanecatyl.

Your question here looks a little like advertising, but I've looked at your other posts and I'll give you the benefit of the doubt about this one. Let's see if anyone knows this light, and if they have anything to report about it.

My guess is that you will find plenty of other lights being discussed here which do just as good a job, and probably for less $$.

I've no doubt other members will have some recommendations for you.

Thanks for the benefit of the doubt! :)

Gunner (or anyone else) - is there much of a difference between the p7 and the MC-E?

Thanks!

Rick

hi ricky and :welcome:

if you're looking for a light for yourself, i'd suggest heading here, fill out the checklist then copy and paste your answers in this thread then sit back, hold on to your wallet and let the recommendations roll on in.

P7 is a quad die LED made by Seoul with Cree's EZ1000 chips, the MC-E is a quad die LED made by Cree with their own EZ1000 chips. That might switch to the EZ900 chips but I'm not sure, haven't been following that.

The P7 has the four dies hardwired in parallel while the MC-E has individually addressable dies. The P7 also has a larger footprint then the MC-E.

Output wise, both can be similar and different depending on tint and output bin.
