Okay, this is just crazy!!

Quit putting out so many cool new lights!!!! :duh2:

I just sold 3 of my most powerful flashlights to pay IRS, but what
do I do? I go and buy more lights!!!

So, here's the plan; after the DEFT, NO MORE LIGHTS for PsychoBunny!!

I will DELETE CPF from my favorites list, and forget that CPF exists through hypnotic suggestion!!!! :shakehead :tinfoil:

So, a note to all vendors and makers of flashlights:
CUT IT OUT!!!

You know what I mean, and you know who you are!! :poke:

Try to tell yourself that you already have a lot of flashlights for most thinkable tasks.
Of course from a collector's point of view this is no reason not to buy new lights but you really shouldn't buy expensive things if you can't afford it, not even to improve your collection.
I know, life is hard, but I'm sure you will survive without buying new lights seeing how many you've got already:eek:

Famous last words. Forget it, Bunny. We've tried that. :shakehead

;)

Have you read my reviews? There are some pretty good lights out that you don't have!

I tried to do that recently, but then I saw CPF on my supervisor's computer at work (Superdave) and realized that I missed the first Sapphire wave. DAMMIT!!! Now I'm back debating if I will get in on the second wave. (Are five McGizmos enough?:hmm:)

I don't know... I feel your pain, but these gems are hard to resist.:)

Maybe put the money into a savings account that you were going to spend on a light you REALLY, REALLY wanted. Then try to forget how much is in the account until it's time to pay something important. (like maybe a credit card payoff at the end/beginning of the year)

Or get interested in a hobby or activity that gets you away from the computer. I find that I am the most vulnerable to buying stuff in general (especially lights) if I am on my computer at home for long periods of time. Something that gets you out of the house or apartment. Something that stimulates your mind and body, getting your focus off of flashlights or whatever it is you are buying on the computer.

Computers make things so much more accessible and convenient, which includes buying things (especially with using Paypal linked to your accounts and credit cards). Distance yourself from that temptation of convenience and DO STUFF.

Also, I try my best to enjoy the lights I DO have already and look for opportunities to enjoy them. Maybe revisit some lights I haven't used in a while and appreciate them.

Just my $0.02.

OMG, that would be all I need, a flashaholic friend, acquaintance, relative,
that I feel like I have to "keep one up" on!!

I'm ruined, RUINED!!!!!

All I know is, no matter what, I WILL own a DEFT.
If I have to pawn my wifes jewelry, I will own a DEFT!!! :faint:
If I have to bean old ladies over the head on their way out of the
Chevy Chase Bank, I WILL own a DEFT!! :grin2: (that was a joke I hope you know)!!

P.S. except the part about my wife's jewlery!!! LOL!!!

Don't hurt the old ladies!
Rob guys at urinals, it's hard to fight back while you're peeing and your pants are undone.

Don't actually do that!

I wish you the best of luck in your battle.
I hope you make it.
You will be my hero if you will!

-i try my best to resist the urge too.
-maybe i should try to remove cpf too from my (browser) memory.
-but not just yet.. just few lights more. ;)

more expensive the lights are (compared to your income and wealth) more important these questions are.. :)

questions that you have to answer YES:

"do you have afford to it".
"can you buy it without cutting costs in other things"
"do you need it"
"no really, DO you NEED it, and not just WANT it"
"will it replace another flashlight you have"
"will you sell the others that this will replace"
"can you afford to use it, loose it and break it and replace it without serious remorse and bankruptcy"

and some NO answers:

"do you have other lights like it"
"can the other lights you have do the same job as this one"
"will you get in trouble when your wife etc finds out"
"can you live with out it"
"honestly, didnt you just want it and lied about the need"

and essee answer:

"what would u buy if you would not buy this light"
(careful here..dont say food or pay bills..)

simply put: be honest to yourself. need vs want + common sence.

You are in deeper trouble than you think. You are down on the only light made that can satisfy in the capacity of your only light... the Ra:poke:

Give it some time and see if it grows on you:thumbsup:
