I just purchased a NW XP-G Preon ReVO SS and was wondering what batteries are suitable for it.
Can this flashlight use rechargeable batteries and if so what is the effect on runtime and output?
Curious to hear what other batteries people are putting into the Preon ReVO and the effect on runtime/output?

Thanks!!

Unfortunately the Revo will only take NiMH Batteries or Primaries, no Lithium Ion rechargables, and that is why I stick with my Preon. A Preon with Lithium Ion will put out more than double the output, as a Revo will never put out more than around 80 lumens because a battery like that would fry the ReVo's internals.

BTW Very nice review Selfbuilt.

I have a couple eneloops, but recently picked up a pack of duraloops (Duracell LSD NiMH made in Japan that are assumed to be re-branded eneloops).

Now I just need my ReVO (but that's another topic).

I use 1000 mAh rechargeable Energizer NiMH batteries in my ReVO and I am totally happy. :grin2:

BTW: :welcome:

I'm using Eneloops AAA in mine and am pretty happy with them.
