Batteries hissing, light flickering

I have an Ultrafire LED q5 light with two ultrafire CR123a rechargies.

The light is flickering somewhat, and when looked at the light closely I heard "hissing" or "sizzling" from the batteries or the light bulb module.

Anyone know of this problem?? Is it the light? or the batteries?

it's a problem with the light. Try cleaning the contacts to get rid of the flickering, either with rubbing alcohol or deoxit. The hissing is because one of the components on the circuit board wasn't potted, and unfortunately it's hard to fix this.

I have had the same issue with a Ultrafire C3 5 mode. Its probably the light not the batteries.

I have the hissing with a DX R2 cree drop-in. Is it as safe as one which doesn't hiss?

Thanks, I was worried it was the batteries and they were on the way to melt-down.

The noise does appear to be coming from the bulb which is a bummer, I really liked this light.

It won't effect performance, unless it's so loud to annoy you in use.
