Battery change question on E2d........

Any reason why I shouldn't install batt's from the tail instead of the bezel on my E2d? it'seems to me it would be safer considering the lamp is free to move once removed. I have taken the clicky off and didn't see anything
that would pose a problem to doing it this way.
But i am sire SF has one, any idea's? VDG
 
In order to make the body of the E series lights as small as possible, Surefire in their infinite wisdom made these so that the batteries will only go in from the head. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

In order for the batteries to be changed from the tail, the light would have to have the diameter of the "classic" Surefires C2, G2, etc.

damned if you ain't right! DUH! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/stupid.gif I just took off the tail cap and didn't even try to tap them out, just looked to see if they were there. man I'm dumb.VDG
