Battery Charging

I have a individual, four cell sanyo charger. Does it matter if I just charge one batt at a time, or is it better to wait if possible until I have more to charge? Is it better for the chargers life to use it less and wait? Does the charger use twice as much electric to charge four batts than it does to charge two batts? Thanks for any insight.

If it has separate charging channels, than you can charge one at a time if you want. These things shouldn't use much electricity, but in that aspect charging more would probably be just a tiny bit more economical.
