battery choice

ive just bought a ultra fire 501b from deal xtreme and it say s i can use either 1 18650 or 2 cr123a batteries . which would be best for brightness or longevity etc. as you can guess im new to led lights so dont know which to go for

Are you after rechargeable batteries or not? If you are go with 18650s if not Cr123s.

I'm not into rechargeables, as they are not easy to get in Europe and as only one of my lights actually can be fed with them. For my AA lights, I only use rechargeables though, Infiniums.

But, I would also be interested in detailed differences between an 18650 and two CR123A and between an RCR123 and a CR123A.

Probably there are threads about this already?
