Hi Everyone.

Does anyone know a way to check the amount of available power one has in thier flashlights ? I have a Surefire E2 and love it but I don't have the foggiest idea when the batterys are going to run out.

Thanx

How about carrying a 2nd backup E2 that you only use as backup and to compare to your primary E2 to see how used the batteries are?

Should this move to the batteries section?

I was considering building myself a device that allowed me to simulate the SureFire bulbs and give me a value. I would feed it through a bunch of LEDs Green-yelow-orange-red scale to show me how used the battery was.

Moving to Batteries Section...

Lithium battery's have a flat discharge rate so it is very hard to tell by eye alone. I change mine at the first hint of dimness or yellowing. In the last two weeks there has been threads on battery testers if that is what you are looking for.
