Hey All,

Just thought I post a thread on what I use for battery storage. Maybe this has been covered elsewhere but I'll share it anyway.

I found that if you go to your local hunting/sportsman retailer and head to the ammunition case aisle, you'll find many options for storing batteries.

Just take a sample of the batteries you need to store and find a case that has the right height, diameter of space needed, and enough quantity storage slots for all your batteries. The thing I like is that they are all individually separated. So what I do is keep my charged batteries on the left side of the case and all the ones that need charging go on the right. This way is a good way to keep track of your batteries without having to label them.

Another thing, pending on how much you want to spend, a lot of these cases can come air-tight, waterproof, and also lockable if need be.

Anyhoo.... just a fyi that works good for me.

Cheers.

Another good use for the ammunition boxes is for pen/pencil/marker holders. I was doing some mapping and other work where I need to use a bunch of different sharpie markers and highlighters in corresponding colors. It was annoying searching in a regular pencil cup for the right color. A rifle cartridge box was the perfect solution. It kept the Sharpie and Highlighter colors together and in a nice little line easy to grab the color I needed
