OK, I did a search for this, I'm sure this has been discussed 1000
times, but I cant find a single thing in search!!
All I find are a zillion threads that have nothing to do with my search.
A thread may have 100 posts, the 95th post MAY contain my search
words, but it is out of context!!

So, dont post with a "use the search" reply please!! :shakehead
I tried, damn-it!!

Whew, I feel better now!! LOL!

Here's my question:
Is it OK to store 123A'a (or any battery for that matter) in a bag?
I have a bunch of loose 123A'a, and am just keeping them in a large
zip-lock bag. I know when you buy them, they are always packaged
so the poles dont touch, I know they must do this for a reason!!

Neatness, presentation, compact packing in boxes...there is no electrical reason.

You can store them in a bag. No harm will come to them.

[Edit: This does of course apply only to single cylindrical cells with their wrappers on, and assumes no other metal objects are placed in the bag with the batteries.]

I've several of those keep2go tubes and they all contain 4xcr123. They're airtight like your zip-lock bags. Tubes have been spread out where I might need them and I occasionally check them. Batteries seem to be fine. Not that I assumed anything else.

The Pelican 1010 case from BatteryJunction with the insert is a pretty nice piece. If you want the gasket, you have to cut it off the rubber insert first, then stick the foam insert in, just a minor issue, takes about 2 minutes with a sharp knife and a steady hand.
