as you all know the cells are yellow but mine seem to have a black bleeding through into the yellow. to be more exact nothing is leaking out of the cell.. just onto the innerside of the battery sleeve. is this normal? thanks guys been wondering if anybody else has had this happen.

Yeah, I´ve had that happen to one of my four BS RCR´s. The battery still charges and discharges well. I´ve felt around the area and it´s like a pinch pin sticking out ever so slightly and very small too. I don´t think I´ll worry too much about it unless I see the cell starting to behave weirdly. I have noticed that cell has heated up faster when run in high in my HDS U60.

I just returned one of these cells to LightHound for what sounds like this same problem. My 900mah BS cell came with a small stain on the wrapping like you describe, but it looked more reddish to me. The cell worked ok out of the box, but I couldn't get it to recharge properly. Both of my chargers rejected it, either giving the ready light far too early and not charging it or slowly flashing the red and green in some kind of error message I'd never see before. I contacted LH about it and they immediately dispatched another with a prepaid return envelope for the defective one.

This sounds bad, especially the overheating. Stop using a Li-Ion cell if it overheats, and be particularly careful if it heats up during charging.

I don't know what this stain/leak could be, but if it isn't just paint/ink from the wrapper, definitely stop using it.
