I have one BB750 on which the second black chip is blown - NOT the LTNH one - the small black one close to the LED ground pad - so I have two questions actually - what is this chip and where can I get a replacement one.

How do I know this one is blown and why I don´t read the marking on the chip ?

Its actually physically damaged in the middle looking like a vulcano/crater - making both my analysis its the blown part and lack of identification quite obvious /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

This should be the schottky diode. I am not sure which type but Wayne sels them on his shoppe. See the "Grey Kit Parts" menu at the bottom.

The CRS08 is rated for 1.5A, better than the 1A of the 5819.

I lost the same diode on my BB750. And just a couple of days ago my BB500 stopped working - same reason. I did a second 'miracle' repair.
