I am eagerly awaiting a Surefire E2E and was thinking about extras for it. How well do beamshapers work? Do you think it would be worth purchasing? Thanks

From what I can tell, it diffuses the light beam nicely, but I have only used it on my KL1 head on the E2. It takes out any irregularities in the beam and the hex shape helps prevent the light from rolling around on a flat surface. I like mine, haven't tried it on the incan head, though.

So you are using it to further difuse you KL1. I hadn't really thought about doing that with it. I thought the KL1 head was fairly diffused to start with.

Yeah, I bought it with the idea of using it on the incan bezel, but decided to keep that bezel as is. The KL1 bezel didn't have any bad spots in the beam, but when I put the diffuser on it to see if it would fit, it made the beam even more "smooth" without any perceptible loss of brightness that I could tell. So, I just left it on the KL1, figured it was a little more protection for the lens.
